ORIGINAL: SEPTEMBER 2010
Snazzylime has kept me busy the past couple weeks. I have come home at 5:15 and watch a little TV, take the dogs out and then work. I usually have time to kill, but I on occasion I find myself in the office at 12… ALMOST done. BUT I have finally had the time to order new business cards, and order my sample prints! I have been cutting, aligning, updating, and organizing for a while now. I’m starting to see the benefits. I have finished one huge project for a friends wedding, her programs. I will be updating picture folders on facebook soon!
I have had my first (and second) … client that isn’t related my family or friends! #realworld. I have been asked to do their wedding invitations and I’m having such a great time with these projects. I’m learning so much from them… and this experience with a non-family client has taken me into a new realm of professionalism. Because you need contracts, you need invoices, and you need deposits! With a relative it just seems silly. I hope this continues, and they pass the word on…
Also these days I have a couple random invitations…
- A jewelry party with “Bijou Designs.” She’s in the Vicksburg, MI area; if you are you should go! email for information: chelseydowns@gmail.com
- For my cousin… recital invitations, she plays the saxophone!
- I’m working on programs & table numbers for another cousins wedding, she keeps busy with Sugarpie Designs, www.sugarpiedesigns1.blogspot.com
- Birthday party invites, holiday cards for families, and logo design for a photography company in St. Louis, MO.
Hope the jobs keep comin’ in. Any tips on business marketing, accounting or anything!? email me at thatssnazzy@hotmail.com and if you have any questions about invitation etiquette or something, email me. I would love to help.
Adios.
