We're looking forward to meeting you and introducing you to the Snazzyway. hehe. We will be making some new wedding invitation samples over the next few weeks for display at the show... plus we will have some of our most recent work on display as well!

CONTEST WINNER-100 Free Invitations

As you may know, Snazzylime held a contest at the Perfect Wedding Guide bridal show in September. MANY brides signed up and of course like in any contest, there was a winner!

Without further a due...

Congratulations to a new bride, Addison, for being chosen [by random drawing] as the WINNER of 100 FREE invitations for her upcoming wedding! We will be starting on the design process soon!

As I do with all my clients, I'm truly looking forward to getting started on her design and working with her on her as needed stationery items throughout her wedding planning process. The best part of my job is getting to know new brides, hear about their plans and ideas for the big day! Everyone is so different and have wonderful ways to make their weddings the most personal they can. :)

Perfect Wedding Guide [Snazzylime] Bridal Show

Sunday, September 9, 2012 marks Snazzylime's first ever booth at a Bridal show!

Here's what went down at the show: 
We had a primo spot given to us by PWG,
We showed our stuff,
We scheduled appointments,
We chatted with all kinds of brides,
We held a contest,
We had a grand ole time,
and we wore Snazzylime Tee-shirts. [Courtesy of: Tree&Leaf Clothing]
AND TO BOOT...we WON 2nd BEST BOOTH of the entire show! And we won $500 in clear channel radio advertising! How great is that?!
 
Here is whats going down now:
As of Sunday evening we have 7 new followers on twitter,
We scheduled 16 consults during the show,
Have scheduled 2 consults since the show
We gained about 75 new contacts (who are looking for invitations)
and we are tweeting and blogging, and facebooking and contacting all this week!


Thank you Lord for the success of the show, I can't wait to work with some fun and unique brides!

Embellishments for Wedding Invitations

With Snazzylime I like to keep it simple, I like to design, I like to get to know a bride (if she will let me) & I like to simply and tastefully embellish invites. Here are some ways to embellish invites.

-Incorporating a piece of your wedding (fabric, etc)

-Monograms (old fashioned & modern)

-Ribbon

-Jewels

-Fabric

-Envelope liner

-Colorful envelopes

-Fun printed envelopes (digital or calligraphy) 

-Textured envelopes

-Stripes

-Chevron designs

-Bold fonts

-Textured paper

-Bright paper with white writing

-Period patterns (Victorian, Western, etc)

-Bold bright colors

These are just a few ideas that I've tried... & you can use almost any of these things on all your wedding stationery for it all to be cohesive! What a statement that would be! :) I have so much fun with this. You can also incorporate many different themes.. but that might be a post for another day.

Happy Anniversary - August Wedding! #WW

Its my 3 year anniversary with my hubby, and it just so happens its #WW! #Wedding Wednesday! Here are some photos to enjoy... I posted the below last year as well! I just love today, I hope I can post something about our wedding every year! I love weddings, I love what I'm doing; I'm excited for the future of Snazzylime and my future with the hubs.

 "This was the VERY FIRST wedding stationery I did… through and through! Save the dates, Invites, RSVP, programs, & place cards…. These are pictures from my own wedding! It was a perfect day in St. Louis. It was supposed to be in the 90’s & a little humid as usual, but it was a perfect 80 with a nice breeze.

As far as I know everyone had a great time just being together and celebrating love! I loved that day! And I love being a part, even a small part of other weddings. Snazzylime was born because of the fun I had planning my own stationery. :) I can’t wait for more and more lovely and unique brides to come my way!"

I SPY Game - Wedding Reception

What a great fun idea for the tables! [An I SPY game for wedding reception]

Especially if you are having a large wedding & you, the newlyweds, might not make it to every table to greet in a reasonable time. This will give people at the tables something to do & they can all get to know eachother a bit too!

2.UPDATE.U.3

Hey everyone! Here is what we have been doing these days:

1. Snazzylime is a part of 5 Bridal shows this year! We are putting a $25 off coupon in ALL bridal bags & at 1we had a 3 giveaways. 
2. Snazzylime just finished its first international order - 1 set of birthday invitations. 
3. Snazzylime has had 3 consults in the last week. 
4. In the last couple weeks Snazzylime has seen 8 more Twitter followers, & the Facebook page has seen 10 new likes!
5. Snazzylime has 2 orders for birthday party invites coming in spring. 
6. Snazzylime is working on wedding invites for my best friend from home. 
7. Almost finally, we have had 3 orders for the "square love" invite on the website!
8. Finally, Snazzylime has 4 pending contracts. Yaay.

We are growing slowly but surely! #numbersdontlie. I have faith in the quality of my work, my advertising ways, the way I do biz, & of course I have faith in my friends & family to help me spread the word. And I'm always up for tips on how to further grow. If you have some for us... give us a shout!

I can't wait to see what 2012 has for Snazzy! Check out our New Years resolutions HERE. Thank you for all the support & love. If you are a praying soul, remember... lift one up for Snazzy & its starter upper of you would. :)

How to decide whom to invite to your wedding

Here is a great flow chart to decide whom to invite to your wedding. Check it out! It sounds harsh to cut from your guest list sometimes, this could help! You do have to make sure you aren't stepping on toes or burning bridges.

Remember it IS your wedding - you want it to be wonderful, un-awkward, & for everyone to have a good time! :) Don't worry though. The people who would get mad cause they aren't invited to your "small wedding" or they don't understand why they weren't invited... is the kind of bitterness you don't want at your wedding anyhow!

Thank you to all my lovely brides & other wonderful party clients this past year! Snazzylime had a great first FULL year of business. Having begun in 2010, I was hopeful for the year. I feel as though Snazzylime has grown and has gained excellent clients, contacts and friends. I'm so grateful for the experiences I've had this past year with my start up. :) We shall see what the new year holds for me.

On that note... here are some things I'm looking forward to in 2012:

Holiday Cards!

A photo is coming!!!! Of all the Holiday Cards for this year! It was so fun - and people have really taken a liking to the quality of Snazzylime Christmas cards, here are some reviews. :)

Photobooth Save the Date PHOTO!

This is a photo taken of our Save the Dates... (by our I mean... Mine & Michael's). I needed to get my products professionally photographed for the website & I thought I would use one of my friends for it!

Her name is Jenny Hodges and she owns J Hodges Photography. You can find her on FaceBook through Snazzylime's page as well.

She did such a great job on the photos, I cant wait to see the rest! Also, if you need wedding pictures taken, or engagement, or just family photos, I would call her. She is great to work with & fun on the job!

Dove Commercial

“We pretend to be perfect, that high heels are comfortable, and that we can handle anything that life throws at us. But there are times when we need a moment to remember that we are only human. And that's more then enough.”

I saw this Dove commercial a while back and I had to post about it. I love that all the people in the commercial were women… the gender that tends to internalize our stresses and tries the hardest to do everything perfectly.

I feel this way sometimes with Snazzy. Like I can take on EVERY job that comes at me,  little ones or big ones. Along with writing blogs, the accounting, marketing, designing, assembling, and printing, plus running a home…. it gets to be a lot. And I have to say no sometimes. (I hate doing that - but I do recommend others:) I needed to learn that I’m only human, that I can take a step back and breathe some of that Oklahoma air. I needed to hear that I CAN say no to a job that is going to put me over the edge on stress. If I’m stressed I won’t enjoy what I’m doing and that’s a bummer for me and for the bride I’m working with! I’m looking forward to staying BUSY, but NOT being stressed! Much to be thankful for. :)

Thank you for reading, I hope that if you are stressed… you realize you are only human. And you are enough!

Thank you also to my past AND current brides - you did not and are not stressing me out. :) You have been amazing, I’ve learned so much from you! I’m looking forward to keeping up with your married lives!

Travel to OHIO WEDDING!

This week, well actually TOMORROW Snazzylime (and husby) are both on their way to chilly OHIO for my sister in laws wedding! Yes, I did the invites. See. And the programs. See.

I'm so glad to be a part of this wedding, not only cause its family and I get to see a buncha faces I haven't in a while… but because this is one of the FEW weddings that I actually get to attend. Reasons being either we aren’t close in relations, Michael and I are out of town, have family in town, etc…

Now, I have a “special” job at this wedding. I get to coordinate. Basically the ceremony, running about, polishing off different things and keeping heads on straight. It will be fun! I know it will be beautiful, I will post a picture sometime soon - and of course I will let you know how Snazzylime does at coordinating!

Now I just gotta get done with my 12 hour day... get home to finish packing, and get some rest. For there is a PARTY tomorrow night to celebrate the BRIDE TO BE. :) Yaay for love.
